A 22-year-old male patient presented with history abdominal pain since 5 months. Abdominal examination revealed smooth, firm, mildly tender, non-mobile lump in suprapubic region, on digital rectal examination, smooth spherical mass was felt anteriorly and laterally outside wall, mucosa normal. All routine investigations including liver function tests were within normal limits Computed tomography scan whole abdomen showed giant cyst 10×10 cm multiple well-defined cysts rectovesical pouch. Diagnostic laparoscopy performed. The liver, spleen, mesentery, omentum found to be large tense noted cavity. Partial peri-cystectomy endo-cystectomy Postoperative period uneventful discharged 4th postoperative day. intra-abdominal but extra-peritoneal localization has been reported only 0.2-2% cases making it rare entity. treatment choice for principally careful surgical excision. Here minimum invasive technique this operated results excellent.

c Abstract: Hydatid disease, caused by Echinococcus granulosus, is a common parasitic infection of the liver. Primary pelvic hydatid cyst is an extremely rare condition and occurs in approximately 0.7% of patients. Hydatid disease in pregnancy is a very rare condition with incidence of 1/20000 pregnancies. General physical examination and radiological evaluation confirmed a multiloculated pelvic swelling. Patient was subjected to laparotomy which confirmed the diagnosis of a primary pelvic hydatid disease. Patient was put on chemotherapy after surgery and is doing well on follow up.
متن کاملLaparoscopic management of hydatid cyst of liver.
We describe the laparoscopic excision of a hydatid cyst in the liver. During the procedure, done after treatment with the scolicidal agents praziquantel and albendazole, care was taken to prevent spillage of scolices during evacuation of contents and to excise the entire germinal epithelium. The patient had no immediate or short-term complications and is asymptomatic 3 months later.

The management of hydatidosis includes medical treatment with Albendazole in association with surgical treatment. Surgical procedures vary from puncture-aspiration-injection-reaspiration (PAIR) to partial resection and they can be divided into conservative or radical surgeries [2]. When talking about the conservative procedure (Lagrot pericystectomy) the hepatic parenchyma is not damaged and th...

INTRODUCTION Renal involvement by hydatid disease is uncommon. The patients may be asymptomatic or present with flank pain, hematuria, and hypertension. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment, and options include cyst deroofing, partial nephrectomy, and total nephrectomy. We share our experience of laparoscopic management of 3 patients with large hydatid cysts of the kidney and review the literat...
